Advinia Health Care is looking for a Clinical Deputy Manager to join Cloisters Care Home in Hounslow. Whether it’s making sure their favourite dish is on our menu, or they can continue to take part in their preferred pastime, we make sure that Residents’ individual preferences and needs are catered for right from their very first day with us.
This role is 40 hours per week (inclusive of sumernumary hours) working between the ours of 8am and 6pm, 5 days out of 7
Key Responsibilities
To oversee/maintain the care of residents within the care home. In the absence of the Home Manager, to take responsibility for the day-to-day running of the care home, and ensure that all Company policies and procedures, and all legal requirements, are adhered to within the defined timescales.
Principal Duties
- To ensure appropriate standards are maintained by monitoring and that appropriate professional support is provided to senior staff /team leaders.
- Appropriate reviews of care plans /risk assessments and medication administration. To ensure all assessment tools are in place and are fully utilised.
- Ensure all residents have a complete care assessment prior to admission to the home, taking account of their physical, social and psychological needs. To ensure as a minimum an annual re assessment of each resident’s needs.
- Deploy staff efficiently in relation to care duties to be covered by setting up and controlling the duty rota. Check and monitor care staff hours and authorise time sheets in absence of Home Manager.
- To establish good personal relationships with residents and their families.
- Work with the Home Manager to ensure all induction and mandatory training is completed. To identify other specific training needs.
- To work with the Home Manager on achievement of action plans from external regulators or internal support functions.
- On call duties every 2 weeks
Requirements:
- Valid NMC PIN (essential)
- Previous Management experience (essential)
- Ability to communicate at all levels
- Ability to work on own initiative unsupervised
- Work to deadlines
- Nurse Qualified
