    Regional Head Chef

    About the Role:

Have you ever imagined being a chef where no two weeks are the same, while still maintaining a great work-life balance? This role offers variety, flexibility, and the opportunity to make a real difference across multiple services.

As a Regional Support Chef, you will support our homes across Scotland, covering holidays, sickness, and periods of absence. You’ll step into established kitchens, providing stability, maintaining standards, and ensuring residents continue to receive high-quality meals and dining experiences.

This role offers a refreshing change from a fixed-site position – giving you the opportunity to work with different teams, share best practice, and develop your skills across a variety of environments.

You will be part of a wider hospitality team, working closely with Operations Directors and Home Managers, ensuring continuity and consistency in catering delivery across the region.

There are regular activities, themed events, and special occasions throughout the year which you will support – giving you plenty of opportunity to showcase creativity while maintaining company standards.

It’s a rewarding role for someone who thrives in a fast-paced environment, enjoys meeting new teams, and takes pride in delivering great food wherever they go.

Just imagine… variety in your role, the opportunity to travel, develop your skills, and make a real impact across multiple homes.

As a Regional Support Chef you will be:

    • Supporting multiple care homes across Scotland to ensure continuity of catering services
    • Stepping into kitchens and quickly assessing and maintaining operational standards
    • Preparing and delivering meals in line with company menus, dietary requirements, and policies
    • Ensuring residents receive a consistent, high-quality dining experience
    • Supporting and guiding kitchen teams where required
    • Maintaining food safety, hygiene, and HACCP standards at all times
    • Managing stock effectively during your time on site
    • Assisting with menu implementation and ensuring compliance with company standards
    • Communicating effectively with Home Managers and Operations Directors
    • Providing feedback on kitchen performance, standards, and opportunities for improvement

To be successful in this role, you will have:

    • GCSE or equivalent English
    • Catering qualification (City & Guilds/BTEC or equivalent)
    • Food Hygiene Certificate (Essential)
    • Intermediate Food Hygiene (Desirable)
    • Previous experience in a similar role, ideally within care or large-scale catering
    • Strong adaptability and the ability to work in different environments
    • Experience in menu delivery, stock control, and kitchen organisation
    • Excellent communication and teamwork skills
    • Full UK driving licence (essential due to travel requirements)

    Where you will be working:

    • Location: Scotland (Regional role)
    • You will work across multiple services, supporting kitchen teams and ensuring continuity of service.
    • This role will be managed by the Operations Directors and will involve regular travel across the region.

    What you will get:

    • 5.6 weeks Annual Leave inclusive of Bank Holidays
    • Travel expenses covered (including fuel allowance)
    • Free parking at all sites
    • Wellbeing support and activities to help maintain a great work-life balance
    • Career development and training opportunities
    • Pension contribution to secure your future (Optional)
    • Access to a range of benefits including retail discounts and special offers
